Security

At the request of a vulnerable group or a vulnerable individual, our local area team will arrange a security check at their residence free of charge, they will advise on their present security level and ways of improving it. If anything needs fitting then our volunteers will do the work free of charge, with reference to the materials needed for the work, we are trying to build up a list of free or discounted suppliers of security parts to vulnerable people.

We will be working with local security groups and the police to discuss security measures in problem areas for vulnerable people, all our volunteers will be police checked and be introduced to the police and given advice.

We will have a team of local volunteers that befriend vulnerable people, a pager will be given to a nominated volunteer that will be on call in case they need to contacted in an emergency by someone in danger, being harassed, been attacked, have a dodgy looking visitor, or need support.

Our volunteer team will have a list of local vulnerable people and arrange to visit on a regular basis, giving support and advising where they can.
